A little bit of literaturing reflect shall we?

NY

I’ve only been to NY once before. I have 2 completely different experiences in the books, the 2nd allowing me to fall in love all over again. Fooood, buildings, music, art, love. I ventured around solo for a couple hours for the first time, proving I was capable of maneuvering through those sub lines… (eventually getting to my destinations, lols). Visiting the buying office was neat and I couldn’t help but envision myself working and living there. 

Once: About 6 rows into the mezzanine, I could barely make out the expressions on their faces. Once the music flourished, I could barely contain myself. Queue the waterworks. The chords, acting, singing were so beautiful I was overcome with that feeling that I get when inspired: life is amazing, love even in tragedy is meaningful, and this is what magic must feel like. I can’t wait for it to come to SF next summer.

Orphans: My first play with some key players. Alec Baldwin, Ben Foster, and Tom Sturridge (meooooww) were delightful. It’s nice seeing movie actors in a theatre environment. Sweat, tears, and snot from the front row. It couldn’t get more real.. and snotty ;)

Sleep No More: I’m glad my friends were open to this. I’m glad my friend recommended it to me before my trip. Voyeurism, mhmm. The mystery, thrill, and freedom we experienced in this interactive maze makes for a good story. Highlight: Witches rave/orgy scene. (exactly what you’re thinking)

Sara Bareilles

I’m so lucky to be a fan. She is one of the most talented singer/songwriters I’ve ever seen, but is my obvious favorite. I love shows in SF. Although people took pictures and videos every so often, it was a concert where we mostly just stood and listened and basked in her awesomeness. She’s such a mother frikken riot. Privileged to see her 7 times now.. 8th this summer. Yea, can’t get enough.
